Lace

Bowes Museum
A couple of weeks ago I got the chance to go to the Bowes Museum in Durham with my university.
The building itself was beautiful - it is a magnificent french style chateau that took 23 years to complete.

We went to look at the Fashion and Textiles Gallery.
As a group we were set the task of chosing a garment that we thought could be influential to the trends on the catwalk for spring summer 12.
We chose the garment below
We chose this bishops alb because of the lace used around the cuffs and on the bottom.

Lace is a huge trend for S/S especially mixing it with pastel shades which is also a big trend.
Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Erdem being only a handful who are utilising lace this season.
