Gaga oooh la la

Barneys flagship store on Madison Avenue have turned a whole floor into gaga land - Lady Gaga's Workshop to be precise; selling accessories, make-up, jewellery, apparel, sweet treats and toys. Gaga and her fashion director, Nicola Formichetti created something that definitely defines Gaga's style along with a Christmas twist.

The floor itself is adorned with different brightly coloured geometric shapes. There is a huge statue in the middle of a “popart-esque” Lady Gaga with huge yellow curling nails and she is lying in a bed of glittering shared glass. Around the rest of the floor there is all sorts of things ranging from a huge spider with stick black and yellow legs and a gaga head on the top and a huge red and black GAGA sign.

I didn’t personally buy anything as it’s not my kinda thing but it was definitely worth a visit so go see it if you’re in New York over Christmas!

25 percent of all sales will go toward the recently launched Lady Gaga Born This Way Foundation which is a non-profit charitable organisation that will “lead youth into a braver new society where each individual is accepted and loved as the person they were born to be.”

I've just got back from a trip to New York with my University course; it was so amazing to go at Christmas time - as you can imagine the whole of Manhattan was blanketed with lights and decorations! The Christmas tree above is outside the Rockefeller Centre (Center if you're american), it was gorgeous!

I've been so busy with work and uni lately that i've regrettably been neglecting Naomi's Nook, so I apologise!

On Friday it was my birthday which made me the age of 20 and no longer a teenager - how depressing!

This is me with my banner and balloon all the girls in my house got me, cuties!

I got lots of lovely presents and some spending money for New York - which is only 18 days away arrrgh! SO EXCITED!!

My boyfriend is getting me this gorgeous watch (waiting for it to come back into stock)

I've got a few exciting things happening in the next few months so hopefully i'll be back on track with my blogging!

Winter Wish List

Sorry for the lack in blogging again! I've been on holiday to Ibiza and recovering was well needed! 

Obviously being back the weather is a lot colder than it was there so it has give me reason to hunt for some winter clothes; that and the fact i'm going to New York with my uni course in December which will be verrrrrry cold! So I thought i'd do a little wish list of things I've been lusting after...

I love this coat from Topshop - if you can't already tell i'm a bit obsessed with fur at the minute, the collar is a nice touch and you can take it off if you want so you get two looks out of one (helping me justify paying £100!) A warm coat is an essential on my New York tick list!

I want some knee high socks to wear over tights when its cold and these ones caught my eye whilst looking through the River Island website, I think its just because there's fur involved!

I'm going to need some standard jumpers to throw on in New York under my coat, thought this one would be perfect and at £19.99 you can't really complain - even though i'd prefer it to be black, i'll probably do a bit more hunting round.

I want a fur headband for NY too to keep me warm! I thought this one would match the coat and would look okay with my blonde hair. I thought about a cream one but thought it might look silly?

Last of all the boots! Obviously if I had the money i'd be buying the real thing but these are a perfect dupe for me! I'll be purchasing these very soon!

Alexa for Madwell - again!

Alexa Chung has collaborated with Madewell again! The collection is available from the 22nd September online and in store - I can't wait!
The collection according to Alexa's tweet is 'A lot of 90's in new AC for Madewell collection. Actually 70's too..' and yesterday she said 'So excited for the Madwell collection to come out. Mohair sweater and palm tree pyjamas are faves but wait for the lopard boots, OMGosh. x' 


I agree with Alexa - leopard boots, mohair sweaters, cute lace tops, coloured skinnys - Can't wait to see them!

Car Boot!

A couple of Sunday mornings ago i had the dedication to get up at 5am and get ready to go look round a car boot sale for 6am in hope of finding some lovely vintage pieces. The lack of sleep definitely paid off however as I spotted some little beauties; including a black pleated midi skirt for £1 - that fits perfectly! And a cute little white polka dot blouse that will look perfect tied at the waist with my levis!

I bought the limited edition Nars Blush Bronzer Trio a few weeks ago and I’m loving it! I love the fact that you get 3 products in one compact, it’s so much easier to take if you’re going travelling, and fits into my makeup bag perfectly.

In lack

Sorry for the lack of posts at the minute, i've been busy working the past couple of weeks and on holiday for two weeks before that, and trying to fit other things in between everything else, i've finally got a little bit of time now to get back into the swing of things... or so I hope!

I thought i'd start off by saying that i'm selling a few bits on my ebay shop so have a look and see if anything takes your fancy :)

GO WITH THE FLOW

I've been a bit neglectful lately because of all my uni deadlines and exams, i'm pleased to say they are now all over and yesterday I moved back home from my halls which was sad! :( 

I am however excited for the summer which for me at the minute consists of KOL, Shopping in Manc, Tunisia with the boyfriend, Horse races, and Ibiza in Sept with the gals :D eakkkk!
